Research and Development
GTM is dedicated to R&D and customer specific testing. In this respect it will develop new material concepts as well as advanced structures and test these innovative products subsequently in GTM’s dedicated Research facility. GTM has also opened its facility for material and structural testing of customer made products. To that extend it has available the following equipment and infra structure:• 100 kN computer controlled static and dynamic MTS-test frame
• 500 kN computer controlled static and dynamic MTS-test frame
• Dedicated testing:
------ o Tensile; stress-strain with extensometer
------ o Roller peel
------ o ILLS (three point bending)
------ o Compression
------ o Variable Amplitude loading
------ o Constant Amplitude loading
• Drop weight impact test
• Optical microscope, including camera and computer (magnification up to 1000x)
• NDT equipment (C-scan)
• CNC-milling and drilling
